You can save time when updating Android applications, thanks to a shortcut that allows you to start downloading faster.
Android smartphone owners, rejoice: there’s a way to save time updating apps. Not that it will let you download them any faster, but you’ll have to perform fewer on-screen actions to fetch new versions. And nobody wants to waste time navigating menus.
Here are the steps to follow.
Start updating Android apps faster
- View the screen of your Android smartphone and search for the “Play Store” application;
- Long press your finger on the app and choose “My Apps” when a pop-up menu appears;
- Click on “Update all” (or “Show details” if you want to decide on a case-by-case basis);
- That’s all !

Please note that updates are in principle downloaded automatically when the smartphone is connected to Wi-Fi and uploaded to the sector. Note that in comparison, the classic method is to click on the “Play Store” application, then on the account thumbnail, then on “Manage applications and device”, then on “Update all”. It is this path that is shortened here.
This trick may already be familiar to experienced phone users, but maybe not to everyone. There are other approaches to using your smartphone a little more effectively. For example, view Street View and Maps simultaneously, share your Wi-Fi code, view hidden features in apps, or hover the cursor over a word.
