Featured in more detail during Developer_Direct and recently during Forza Monthly, Forza Motorsport is eagerly awaited by players. Unfortunately, many have been disappointed that no release date has been announced for the Turn10 title. Microsoft was clear during the Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase 2022, the games shown at the conference would all be released in the next 12 months. Today we learn that the game would have been delayed by several months and therefore would not have released in the spring.
Forza Motorsport postponed to Q2 2023?
In the latest issue of the Game Mess Podcast, the very famous Jeff Grubb mentions that he heard that the game was now scheduled for the second half of the year, and specifically the 3rd quarter, between July and September:
From what I’ve heard, and I’m very confident, it appears that Forza has been delayed until later this year and will likely not be released in the first half of 2023.
[…]
The release window I feel for Forza is Q3, and maybe even a bit later.
He adds that there might be a chance the title arrives before June, but right now it seems well planned for the second half, and that he doesn’t understand why Microsoft doesn’t just announce right now that the game is delayed a few months. .
As a reminder, Forza Motorsport is planned exclusively for Xbox Series X|S and PC and recently revealed a lot of information about it, such as the number of cars and tracks available, as well as the use of a dynamic day/night cycle for the first time in the series.
