Announced almost 5 years ago, The Pathless has probably reached the end of its development. In an official press release, publisher Annapurna Interactive and studio Giant Squid reveal that their game will be available on February 2, 2023 on Nintendo Switch, Xbox One and Xbox X|S digitally. iam8bit and Skybound will also be releasing a physical edition of The Pathless for Switch, details of which will be revealed in the coming weeks. It’s unclear if the studio has managed a temporary exclusive on Xbox and Nintendo Switch, as The Pathless has also been confirmed on PlayStation consoles, but it looks like we’ll have to wait until a date is announced. However, we can appreciate this new video that introduces the game, its graphics and some of its gameplay. We remind you that the game puts us in the role of the Hunter, an archery specialist who will find himself on a mystical island to dispel a dark curse that is spreading throughout the world. The hunter must find an eagle to mate in order to drive away the corrupt spirits. This is the new game from the creators of Abzû and we perfectly recognize their visual style, refined and full of grace.
